Newborn Care Class

Our Newborn Care Class provides essential knowledge and practical skills to confidently care for newborns during their initial weeks and months. Participants will learn about various aspects of newborn care, including picking a pediatrician, what will happen in the hospital with your newborn, feedings, safe sleep practices, daily care, diapering/swaddling and more.

Syllabus

  • Understanding baby products: What you need and what you don’t

  • Safe sleep practices

  • Diapering, swaddling, and bathing basics

  • Breastfeeding vs. formula feeding

  • Proper latching and positioning for breastfeeding

  • Techniques for soothing a fussy baby

  • Taking a baby’s temperature

  • Tips on choosing a pediatrician

  • Discussion/pictures of normal newborn characteristics (including rashes, head shape, newborn acne, etc)

Childbirth Class

$100

Our Childbirth Class is a comprehensive program designed for first-time parents, whether they are expecting a vaginal delivery or a cesarean section. This class covers a range of essential topics to prepare expectant mothers and their partners for childbirth.

  • Discuss Vaginal delivery process (including labor, delivery and post partum).

  • Discuss natural labor vs pain control vs anesthesia.

  • Discussion on relaxation techniques during labor
