What is a Live Streaming class?

Live Streaming class is exactly the same as the in-person class except that you join from the comfort of your own home. Kristie has video on and is wearing a lapel microphone so you will always be able to hear her speaking. You can ask questions by unmuting, or typing it in the chat. For the newborn class you will need to have a baby sized doll or stuffed animal (I have have had patients use their dogs and cats :-) , a diaper, and swaddling blanket ( a small bath towel will work to practice.) If you have concerns, please feel free to turn on your video and Kristie can give feedback or answer questions around swaddling and diapering.

What if in-person is sold out and I want to join a waiting list

Register for the Live Streaming class and in the Questions or comments note, please ask to be on the waitlist. Please note I have a capacity restriction on the class so I am limited on the number of people that can be in the class at one time. if you choose to not join our live streaming class, you can request a refund as well.

Do I need to register my partner separately?

No, only one registration per Mom is needed.   On the registration form, you can leave an alternate email for your partner.

What if I want to pay by Venmo or Cash?

Please email me at Kristie.classes@gmail.com.   I will get the appropriate information and share with you the Venmo information or mark you as paying by cash.

How Can I secure a spot in the class?

Your payment on our website kristiesclasses.com will secure your seat in class.   

What If I have paid and now am no longer able to attend?

Life happens and we will fully refund your registration fee for any reason.   We ask that you let us know as soon as possible so that we can open the spot up for other people.  

When Do I Receive my instructions for attending the class?

You will receive an invitation to the class approximately 3 days prior to the scheduled date with details on how to attend and/or where to go.

What times are the classes held?

Saturday Childbirth classes run from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Wednesday classes (both Childbirth and Newborn Care) start at 6:30 PM and end around 9:30 PM.

Please note that the end times may vary slightly due to questions which we strongly encourage.

Where is the in-person class held?

We will be holding the class in the Austin Area OBGYN waiting room.

When entering you will need to go up to the next floor either by elevator or the stairs.

What is the difference between in-person and Live Streaming?

In-person will be in the office and live Streaming will be broadcast over Webex.  Live Streaming class is the same class as in-person but you will be attending from your phone, tablet or pc over Webex.   You can ask questions by un-muting and asking your question or in the chat window.  

What if I need to reschedule?

Just email Kristie.Classes@gmail.com and we will move you to the new Date for the class in our system.   Please make sure you reschedule at least 5 business days in advance to ensure you are able to be moved.   Please note that if you have an in-person registration, you may have to move to a live streaming attendee if the class that you are changing too is full for in-person. 

I am bringing an extra person besides myself and Partner to the class, do I need to pay anything in addition to the normal registration fee?

No, additional payment is not required for up to 4 attendees, but we do need to accommodate for additional space.   Please let us know the number of attendees in the registration form.

What if I have special accommodations that I need to let you know about?

Please let us know in the questions field on the registration form, and we will try and make the appropriate accommodation as best we can.   We will let you know in advance if we are able to.
